But unlike Verlander, Hernandez's best days do appear to be behind him, as a 5.55 ERA in 28 starts in 2018 would suggest. Felix Hernandez has always been one of the easiest players to root for in baseball, a humble superstar who spent his best years on bad Mariners teams and adored by the Seattle community.
